Best Luxury Watches Were Announced At The 2014 Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Geneve

On October 31, the world of fine watchmaking gathered at Geneva Grand Theater for the most prestigious celebration of haute horology in the world - Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Geneve or GPHG. Sixteen laureate luxury watches in different categories were announced in the presence of more than 1500 guests! Among the competing timepieces were chronographs, sports watches, tourbillons, calendars, ladies watches, and many others. The winner of the biggest prize - the "Golden Hand" or “Aiguille D'or", was the pink gold Classic Chronometrie watch by Breguet that set a new level in the search for perfection. The “Petite Aiguille” prize was awarded to the Grand Seiko Hi-Beat 36000 GMT limited edition watch by Seiko.

The “Ladies' Watch” prize got the Women Off-Centred Hour watch by Blancpain . This red gold creation that combines elegance with horological complexity is decorated with 152 diamonds in various sizes. It embodies a true anthem to femininity! One more high-end watch for the beautiful half of humanity that won the “Ladies' High-Mech Watch” prize is the Margot watch by Christophe Claret that tries to answer the eternal question “He loves me… or he loves me not”. It is the first complication of this luxury watch brand specifically developed for women. The winner of the “Men's Watch” category was the manual-winding pink gold Central Second watch produced by Urban Jurgensen & Sonner with its new variation of the extraordinary UJS-P8 detent escapement.

The “Chronograph Watch” prize was awarded to the DB29 Maxichrono Tourbillon by De Bethune.
